At Li’l Menook, we use two distinct methods to bring our artwork to life on apparel. Each has its own strengths—and unlike most clothing brands, we let you choose which technique you prefer on select items.
Whether you're drawn to bold, vibrant colors or you prioritize a softer feel against your skin, we’ve got you covered. One method delivers rich, eye-catching prints with lasting detail. The other is so gentle, you’ll barely notice anything but the pure softness of organic cotton.

DTG
Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing is a digital method that prints full-color designs directly onto fabric—like an inkjet printer for t-shirts. It’s ideal for detailed artwork, gradients, and small-batch or one-off prints.
One strong advantage is that the artwork is imbedded into the fibers of the cotton. No texture is added to the fabric and thus not irritants.
A disadvantage of this method is that the artwork appears dull or dark. Some detail is also lost since there is space in the fibers of the material. If it is important to have vibrant colors, look to DTF printing.
On white shirts, the print is clear but appears just slightly duller. The darker the shirt color, the less apparent the print appears. For this reason, we do not offer DTG printing on dark apparel.
DTF
Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing is a cutting-edge method for transferring full-color designs onto fabric. Unlike traditional screen printing or DTG (Direct-to-Garment), DTF uses a special film and adhesive powder to create vibrant, durable prints with a soft feel.
An advantage to this method is the vibrancy of the colors of the garment. The print has a uniform rubbery, smooth feel to it which retains the detail of the artwork. Those with sensitive skin may not like a DTF print if it is too large. We use materials that leave a soft texture unlike some others that have a hard film that may be uncomfortable to wear.
